Here's the problem.

Inetnut has caused and error in kernal32.dll

The two files that are named inetnut are..

INETNUT.lgc
inetnut.exe

They are located in hidden folder named "APPLOG" under the windows directory.

Do I need these files or can I safely delete them and stop the error that occurs?

Hi

I did a search on my computer to see if I had the file, it sounded familiar, then I did a search on the net. Are you sure you spelt the name correctly? The only reference to inetnut I could find is on the net as a pen name. There are programs that are similar that are necessary, but that isn't one of them. Have you done scans for adware and stuff?

Good Luck

The only thing I have ran is updated spybot. Should I try running adware?

You could try a few things like "ad-aware" (by lavasoft.de, not ad-aware.com, adware is what these progs help to fight check out here http://www.computing.net/security/wwwboard/forum/12583.html) but with the deep scan option on, or run spybot again (and I don't know but I think your spybot should be sufficient-but run spybot and virus scanner in safe mode), the other might be to either check out the forums for hijack this and/or download, run it and then post to them the results and/or questions. They seem to be good and quick with the responses.....

"The speed benefit of [using Applog for] the specialized defrag process may not be noticeable and a great number of files can accumulate in the Applog folder." --Neil J. Rubenking.

"Task Monitor is a MS utility which keeps track of the rate of program usage to make defragging more efficient. With short seek times and high transfer rates of today's hard drives, it is probably superfluous." http://snurl.com/4ypa

Consider disabling Task Monitor which puts the files in Applog. Go to Start/Run and type msconfig; under the Startup tab uncheck Task Monitor.

I'm not sure why you get the error message "Inetnut has caused and error in kernal32.dll".

But I am sure you should delete ALL files in the APPLOG folder and turn off Task Monitor. I did and have no problems as a result. You'll gain disk space, faster boot times, and better performance.

Hi

I have a feeling that inetnut.exe is a program or something that you might have picked up a long the way... I agree with the notes Renaissance Man has posted to delete applog and take task manager out of your start up.

As with anything that is 'questionable', you can put the progs in a quarantine folder or something and see how your computer runs with out it.
