When I try to open my website www.nurseryrhymes4u.com on the internet using my own PC which contains and controls my website, I get the "This page cannot be displayed" page and the comment " Cannot find Server or DNS error"
However, there is no problem in viewing my website on any other PC.
Do I have an incorrect setting on my PC?
Need help please!

I get the same message after I have updated my website. The problem fixes it's self after a few hours.
I don't think the problem is with your PC but the route the connection takes. A DNS server appears to be a sort of address book where PC's look for the selected websites address number. If you selected a different DNS server to the one you used to update the site, you would be able to find it OK.
I spent 2 hours to my ISP with this same problem and they could not answer it. Will I get a refund on my 2 hour phone call ??
Watch this space. If anyone has a better idea, please tell.

Thanks for your reply Michael.
I forgot to mention that l do have three other websites on the same PC using the same ISP (Tiscali) and same web builder (WebStudio3)and do not have any problem with those sites at all. Does this make any difference to your thoughts on the subject?

The tech I spoke to at my ISP seemed to know more than me (but still didn't know) got me to try and PING the site....
START - PROGRAMS - MS-DOS PROMPT. Type...
ping www.nurseryrhymes4u.comand press ENTER. This sends some data to the website and looks for a return signal indicating the two PC have made contact (I think). You may have to wait for someone with a better idea than me to come along.
A last thought.... if you have the web address in your TEMP INTERNET FILES FOLDER, and this address failed, your PC may load this failed address into your browser rather than refresh the loading. If you delete the address from this folder and try again...

Thanks again Michael.
Tried PINGing the site and the answer came back as "Host unreachable"
Looked at temporary internet files but site is not listed.
Oh well, I suppose I will just have to continue to upload from one PC and view the site from another - as I have been doing since the site's inception.
Cheers Michael and thanks for your help.
