When I open up IE (5.5 SP2) there is this process that I see if I hit Ctrl+Alt+Del(-dllhost-) or with Wintop and Process Explorer(-dllhost.exe-). I'm sure that this was not there before the last security update (through Windows Update). It is a windows legitimate file, but I have experienced some freezes in IE (I have none for months) and two bad shutdowns, that is what I'm asking you. Do you see this process when you open IE? The other thing is that I am sure I have no Trojan, virus, spyware or anything strange after multiple scans...

Yes I have it.It was installed recently and I just didn't calculated it as a cause of trouble because it seemed to fit perfectly into IE . Is it possible adshield to be the cause of this instability? I will check it and see. Thank you very much! This is the good thing about forums like this! Always someone has an idea that clicks!

I do not have AdShield,(any more...kept me from accessing a certain e-mail account),but it shows up (dllhost.exe) in Ctrl+Alt+Del,when I run "Crazy Browser",but not when I launch/run IE.Don't know why, because CB uses IE for all of it's settings....???
and I do have "process explorer"...

When I open IE dllhost appears.I don't have other plugins exept Adshield. The only other program that is running from starting till closing the PC is Kerio firewall. (I use all others when I need them). I also use Process Explorer,it's readings are identical with Wintop (and with Taskinfo that I used to have).
