Comment:

Recently upgraded from Win95 to WinME. After successful upgrade, I now have several .dll files on my desktop. Why are they there and is it ok to put them in the recycle bin? I would really like them off my desktop, but do not know where to put them? Thanks, Sandi

Any .dll file on your desktop that you did not put there is most likely a copy. In any case, .dll files normally reside in the C:\Windows\System folder. Win ME upgrade does not put .dll files on your desktop.
