Uninstall NSW, it's a terrible resource hog, I used to use it,but, no thanks. But since you cannot return it, (or can you?) Just uninstall it completely, and reinstall it again. If it is still screwing up, get in touch with Symantec and ask them what they have on it.

Forgot...are you completely updated on it. When you dnldd NSW did you update it? Are you updated on Windows? Outlook? IE-6-SP1? Outlook updates will update some IE settings even if you do not use Outlook.

Also, ESPECIALLY since you have Norton Utilities, if you download and do not disable NAV and the Utilities, Clean Sweep can, and sometimes does, mess with the install of what you are downloading. Trust me, I know from maddening experience.

Read this, it's simple, and it will save you some problems, applies to downloading in general, but specifically since you have NSW.

Downloading hint:

One other thing I do on downloading is, after you get the download (M$ does not structure its downloads so you can do this for some reason), after download, but BEFORE INSTALL, #1. log off the net, #2. disable AV (right click tray icon), #3. then ctrl-alt-delete to close AV in close-program, THEN (and only then) #4. click on the install procedure. Otherwise your AV might read the install as an invader and mess with it. Then manually shut down for two full minutes. Since you have NSW, disable the Utilities also. It got to a point with me where I had to uninstall NSW to do some downloads, particularly big ones.

If after you've uninstalled and reinstalled you still get glitches in either the installation process or running NSW, uninstall it again and run SYMClean.

Using the Norton SystemWorks™ cleanup utility (SYMClean)

Yes, this is an Norton System's Work 2004 issue. I have been using Norton for many years and have not seen a problem with missing DLLs like this one on an upgrade. I spent a few hrs on this one after rebooting over and over again (win98). I evenually uninstalled Norton and removed all folders in my program folder. Then reinstalled without CleanSweep and it seems to work.

Come on Norton GET YOUR QA act together.
