Help! I had a power outage and after removing a CD and a floopy and trying to restart my copmuter, the following message is being displayed: Verifying DMI Pool Data....DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER.. I have tried my Windows ME cd and all the other disks or CD's that came with my computer and nothing has worked. Can any one give me an idea what is wrong and what I can do to fix this. Thank you Andy
First go into the BIOS at power on and check your hard drive is being autodetected. Restart and if it does not boot into Windows when checking the DMI Pool Data, start the pc with a bootable floppy or bootable Windows CD, then see if you can access the hard drive from a DOS prompt.
Let us know how you get on so far and we can go from there depending on the fault with the hard drive.
