Disable Flash Player?

Not sure if this is the exact forum for this but here goes. Is there any way in ME to disable the animated Macromedia ads that display on web pages while surfing with IE5.5? I'm sure these little animated flash ads eat up resources and slow down display and download times.

Look in IE/Tools/Internet Options/Advanced,under the multimedia heading.
