OS: ME
CPU/Ram: P200mmx 256mb RAM
Comment:

Friend of mine needs a simple setup to drag images from a digital camera.
Got an old Digital P200mmx with onboard USB here that would do.
ME does not seem to detect the CPU and defaults to the 150mhz or better window and refuses to install.
Anyone else had this problem, is there any way around this?

yes... althoe your prossesor does not meet the minimum system requirments your memory sure does... i have installed winxp on p2's at 200mhz and it worked fine... just disable system restore, visual enhancments and use the windows classic theme, and depending on your hard drive size, if its small (under 80 gig) then install winxp on fat32... if its a large hdd then install using ntfs... i would go with fat32 either way

Problem sorted.
Set up install on another machine first, should have thought of this earlier.
Guy just wants this to store photos and ME is good for this sort of thing (USB friendly, thumbnail view etc..)
Thanks.
