I have adaptec direct CD version 3.03a installed on my system which is running Windows ME. I am using a HP 7200i CD Writer. When I try to format a CD using Direct CD I get the following error message. Error Command_Blank Media Device is not ready(0X8020401)

The DIRECT CD that came with my CD-R makes CDs that can only be read on Windows 95 and later OS. Although Xcopying is nice, Direct Cd--in my version at least--is not a good option compared to Easy CD Creator.

Direct CD is a program the formats a cd-rw so that you can use it just like a big floppy disk in Explorer. You can drag-n-drop and delete files just like it was a hard-drive. Easy CD is the program that is used to burn music and data cds.
