Recently I have purchased a brand new Abit BW7-Raid m/b for my P4 PC. I run WinME. I installed all drivers successfully, BUT....there is still black exclamation in yellow field under "System devices" next to "System board extension for ACPI BIOS".
Double click: "General" tab--This device is causing a resource conflict (Code 15). To resolve the problem click Hardware Troubleshooter" and follow...When I click "Hardware Troubleshooter" nothing happened. I can't open it.
"Resources" tab --no conflicts
Use automatic settings--checked.
What I have to do to solve the problem.
Thank you in advance
Mike

Boot into safe mode and take a look at devman there.

If you just installed a new motherboard without cleanly installing ME, my guess is the computer thinks you are using both motherboards.

Go through devman in safe mode and remove everthing that has to do with your old motherboard and all ghosts. Then see where you are.

It's a brand new PC. I assembled a new PC, that means all parts are brand new. I installed motherboard driver first (according manual), following video and audio drivers.

Are you set to Plug and Play=yes or Plug and Play=no in the BIOS?

What does system information (start>>programs>>accessories>>system tools>>system information) have to say about problem devices?
