I was reading an article on scanners and it said that my scanner should be listed in Device Manager under Imaging .I went to device manager and my scanner and my Logitech Quick Cam are not listed .The only thing listed is my ATI TV WONDER USB Edition . My scanner is a UMAX 2100U ! When installing it I did not use the add new hardware wizard , because thart wizard gives you no option for USB connection ? My scanner is working fine ,Iam just curious of why its not listed in Device Manager ? Thanks to All,Nick

Its probably not listed because it is being used by a 3rd party application. if you use 3rd party apps to install and initialize the scanner and printer it won't show up all the time. i run 3 digi. camera's and 1 scanner and i have always used 3rd party software and they never show up. if you want them to show up go into control panel and cameras and scanners and add the camera and scanner. this will make them show up, but honestly it really doesn't matter unless you want to start using windows to work with the devices. good luck
