You don't say what your current anti virus software is. I've found McAfee and Norton to be pretty much useless. My last PC came with a one year license for Norton and I my company gives me free license for McAfee. I use AVG 6.0, which can be downloaded free from the Grisoft website (www.grisoft.com). I've used various versions of AVG for over three years and it has caught viruses that McAfee and Norton didn't, which is why I no longer use them. Try downloading and running it, it's free and easy to install and use! If that doesn't remove the virus, you may need to reformat the hard drive, which is a real pain if you don't know what your doing. If that's the case, you may want to consider taking your CPU to a local repair shop to have the virus safely removed. Good luck!
