Im trying to figure out what motherboard is in a computer i got today that was being scrapped. I cant make heads or tails of this thing. ASUS is on a few of the chips so i figure its an ASUS mother board but thast all i got. I remember searching for ram once a while ago and the site let me enter the comptuer make and model and it told me exactly what kind of ram was installed by the OEM and what i could upgrade with including the limits. any one know of a site with a similar feature for trying to detemine what mother board is in a specific PC? Ive been at google for over an hour entering in every combination of the make/model along with ASUS i can think of and no dice. What about physical examination of the board? anywhere i might find an indicator of what the model number is? Im not getting anywhere fast here:) any ANY suggestions are welcome.

Can you boot it? Look in the BIOS, usually has the name in there. What are you trying to find, memory, or just the model?

If you can boot into the BIOS at all these two sites may be of use to you for looking up the BIOS string to determine which motherboard you have:
