My friend's computer having problems! [Hewlett Packard with WinME] The Desktop shows a white background and by using Right Mouse Click on the Desktop with selecting from the dropdown menu "Properties" you select a desired "Background" and click "Apply"/"OK" the Desktop will not change to the selected page and will only return you to the White Background? Not sure why this has happened? Also we did a full "Scandisk/Defrag" [which was overdue] [also I have cleaned/deleted all Temp files ETC] Still has the same above problem! We have tried Restarting computer in MS-DOS and it still returns with a white page?? The performance of computer otherwise appears to be all OK!! Any help or advice would be appreciated.
