I'm so stupid.

I wanted to test out XP before I totally installed it, so I installed it into a seperate folder in my C: drive called WinXP. I like it, but now how do I get rid of Windows Me? I mean, I can't just delete the Windows folder, can I?

If you really want to delete the Me operating system, provided that you have Win XP installed on the same comp, it can be done. You will have to run FDISK in MS-DOS prompt and mark the partition in which the Win XP is installed as the 'active partition'. You can then delete the extended or logical drive which has the Me installation files there only.......or close the window, and delete the files manually.
The underlying principle behind this is that you can not delete an active partition in you HDD , as this partition operates the basic Operating system.

good luck
