I need to delete some files, I can't remember how to get into the system registry and is that even where I would go to delete .dll files? Thanks.

Dangerous territory, the registry is. One wrong move and the computer is a doorstop. What files are you wanting to get rid of?

Becky, careful what you do in the registry! Try start>run>regedit and you should see registry files. You can expand/hilite the file in question and do whatever. If there is more than a single file involved and all require the same action, pressing CTRL at the same time will allow you to select more than 1 file to get the same action.

Becky,

Stay out of the registry.

And don't delete any DLLs unless you have a very good reason AND have saved them to a safe place; like a CD.

Why do you think you need to delete DLLs?

delete files manually....
when switching on your computer press F8 continously until you get the list of about things... one says safe mode go down to it and press enter... it will go to desktop but looks weird. don't be alarmed. if you know the name of you file you want to delete search for it and then delete it then restart computer...... stay out of registy at all cost unless have professional advice
