I need to delete a series of files that are compressed in the cabs of c:\_restore\archive
the files are tied to the worm berios. The system tells me that it can't because they are in use. I've tried winzip and the dos utility extract to no avail.

hello if you reboot from boot disk at the a:del c:\ restore\achive*.* if the path you gave is corect that will work if not change it to the corect one an easyer way to get ridd of them is to goto my computer right click it and goto system truble shooting you will see system restore listed there. put a check mark in box and click ok if there is one reboot all system restore files will be gone. but if you wanted to save any of your old restore points than use dose and not the *.* but just the exact files name at end of path you will have to do them one at a time. if you do delete all system restore files reun virus scanner and make sure systems clean and take check mark out from beside system restore.reboot and make new system restore point have a nice day
