Ok, let's call it TrialGame.

First, locate the folder containing the files for TrialGame.

Second, use the uninstaller that came with TrialGame.

Third, go back and make sure the folder has been removed from the directory tree. Sometimes, it's not--only the .exe file is removed. Delete the folder.

Last, using the registry editor or a third-party registry utility, find any keys named TrialGame which may have been left behind. Most often, a few useless keys always remain from an uninstall.

Since you've gone this far, why not defrag the hard drive and tighten up the files? 8-)

In addition to deleting the directry.....

Trial programs often leave hidden files behind to stop people re-installing to get the trial period back again.
Sometime formatting c: will not remove the hidden file(s) and only a 'low level' format will be good enough.
If your trial game was made by (lets say) '2bfree' software, you should look for 'trialgame' and '2bfree' in the registry to find the entries. START - RUN - type REGEDIT - OK - EDIT - FIND - type 2BFREE - click FIND NEXT. If the desired entry can't be found, press F3 to find the next match.
If you mess up in the registry, you may have to re-install Windows.....

Lastly, the 100% way round it is.....

Go buy it. If it's worth having, put your hand in your pocket.

the best #1 way to uninstall is to go go to add/remove and uninstall from there, if you try uninstalling files from program files first you may never get all files out and they will conflict. so after you delete from add/remove area go into registry and do a find for that program your trying to get rid of, when its found press on delete then press on find next, then delete and keep on doing that until windows tells you it can't find anymore of these files.
