I am trying to defrag my computer and after only 1% I get this message, "DW has caused an error in DW.exe. DW will now close. If you continue to have problems , try restarting your computer." I've done this several times but the same thing happens again. What can I do to fix this problem? Thanks.

Check out this site.

http://www.winpatrol.com/stats.html

It implies that DW.exe should be removed. There is a link at the bottom left hand side of the page for a free tool that will uninstall this. Then you should be able to defrag.

Make sure anything running in the background such as screen savers, automatic updates, email programs, etc are turned off or closed before you start the defrag. Scan disk should be run prior to doing a defrag.

I hope this helps

Posters on the security forum report this is to do with uninstalling Kazaa. Search that forum.
