Hi, I would like to know what i am doing wrong when i try to defragnent hd in dos. I typed (Defrag c: /f /sd /skiphigh) And i got a message saying that this program runs in windows only or something like that.

Believe it. A successful DOS defrag of a Windows system would have disastrous results - fortunately for you, the defrag executable is a Windows program, and cannot be run from DOS

If you are trying to defrag without too many Windows programs getting in the way try it in Safe Mode.
