Double click on the IE icon on your desktop and it should tell you that it's not your default browser - Do you want it to be ? ....Yes.

If the browser did not ask you that question then you may try this one..To change the default browser, you must enable the message which appears and asks if the current browser should be the default browser. These are the registry entries for MSIE and Netscape 3.X: HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main In the right panel, if Check_Associations has a value of "yes," the screen appears. HKEY_Current_User\Software\Netscape\Netscape Navigator\Main In the right panel, if IgnoreDefCheck has a value of "no," the screen appears. Goodluck!

start internet explorer on the TOOLS menu,select INTERNET OPTIONS click the PROGRAMS tab there is a box that should have a check mark If there is no check mark put one there and close your browser. then reopen your browser. you will be asked if you want IE to be your default browser, say yes

Or... Right click IE, click properties, click programs, at bottom of window, check the box " IE should check if it's default"
