DDRAW.DLL problem

Every time I try to start any game I get an error message saying that DDRAW.DLL cannot start and that I should check the file. I tried upgrading to DriectX 8.0 and it didn't help. How can I get this accursed thing to work??? Thanks in advance, Kevin Johnson

I might have been a good idea to let us know what kind of Video card. Go get the latest drivers.

I just read somewhere else that ddraw.dll is not included in the newer DirectX versions. You should either install an older version of DirectX, or you should do the same as I'm doing right now. And that looking for other ways to fix this problem without having to install an older version of DirectX. Hope this helped a little

I fixed the problem by restoring ME to a date before the dll problem. So far so good.

I am having the same problem. I have an Nvidia TNT2 Pro. I do believe that I have the latest drivers. I tried loading DirectX 8.0 and had the same problem as with previous versions. I am on 7.1 now. Still having same prob. Can this file be downloaded?
