Subject: DDRAW.DLL problem

Comment: Every time I try to start any game I get an error message saying that DDRAW.DLL cannot start and that I should check the file. I tried upgrading to DriectX 8.0 and it didn't help. How can I get this accursed thing to work???

Reply: (edit)I just read somewhere else that ddraw.dll is not included in the newer DirectX versions. You should either install an older version of DirectX, or you should do the same as I'm doing right now. And that looking for other ways to fix this problem without having to install an older version of DirectX. Hope this helped a little

Reply: (edit)I fixed the problem by restoring ME to a date before the dll problem. So far so good.

Reply: (edit)I am having the same problem. I have an Nvidia TNT2 Pro. I do believe that I have the latest drivers. I tried loading DirectX 8.0 and had the same problem as with previous versions. I am on 7.1 now. Still having same prob. Can this file be downloaded?

Reply: (edit)this morning i played a game that reguired me to use the gforce2mx and everything was fine i went to work and when i got home i started up the same game and it said beta ddraw has expired what can i do to repair this!?
