DDRAW.DLL file cannot start check

Hi guys , i'm having some trouble with my computer. Few days ago i was playing CounterStrike when my computer freezed so i rebooted and suddenly i had 16 colours 640*480 etc i fixed those problems but there's 1 left...when i try to play any type of game it says : DDRAW.DLL file cannot start check the file to determine the problem , i tried new directX but that didn't help...i'm not sure what to do can someone help me?:)

i did some searching on this just checked a few posts and one person with your problem siad they used system restore to fix this. you should do a forum search on this problem.
