Damaged file and file can't start

I have 2 problems. Periodically my computer alerts me that MAIN.IDX is damaged. Also periodically my computer alerts me that IPHLPAPI.DLL can't start. My computer has trouble going on the internet and once in a while it won't enter the internet. I questioned AOL and they sid to empty the cache or reinstall AOL which I did twice with no positive results. Any ideas?

Oh,after "Googling" for "MAIN.IDX" on the WEB and GROUPS tabs,I would say it's definitely an AOL problem.Check it out for yourself. AOHELL strikes again.
