Comment:
I was using limewire when my system crashed. It seems my D: drive was erased. The d: drive has been renamed cd-rw. Is it possible someone accesed my computer through limewire and deleted the drive? My recovery cd will not work, nor will system restore. Any suggestions? Thanks Matt

P2P is a great way to get all sort of internet nasties. Were you using adware/spyware/antivirus tools regularly?

You can avoid many of these Windows problems with Linux. Linspire eases the transition for new users

Was your D drive a second physical harddrive?
If so the crash probably had nothing to do with limewire and the drive itself has failed. This is particularly indicated by the fact your CDROM has now assumed the D drive designation. Presumable it was previously E.

Boot into BIOS. Is the drive detected?

I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.

Found out had the windir32.exe worm. Just got rid of it today with some help. Went into the bios and the cd-rw drive was there. I did the drive detection and the cd-rw drive is now listed in my computer. The D: drive now shows folders _restore, and wu temp. I remember there being alot more files on the D: drive.
