Critical Updates ?

I have IE 5.5 (WinMe version 5.50.4134.0100). When I go to Windows update it says under critical updates and service packs to upgrade to SP 2 and Internet tools.
Should I Upgrade since my IE version works fine ? Are there any problems with SP 2 ?
It will be possible for me to have new security updates without upgrading to SP2 ?

hello go for the sp2 it works fine for me no problems but ie 6 im not going to use yet seen too many problems

wawadave: says it all, my thought exactly. i think 6.0 is really for x.p.and just as you, i also hesitated also about s.p.2, but in order to download some security patchs it first asks you to download s.p.2 which i did and had no problems. i also have windows m.e. good luck... bill:)

Win ME, IE 5.50 I, too, hesitated to download SP 2 but did so with no problem. It was essential for other critical updates so give it a whirl!
