Dell L866R I installed a Networkeverwhere NC100u card, DSL by Bellsouth with a Netopia router, and downloaded Bellsouth's security package. Since doing this I continute to get error messages or either the computer goes black and I have to hold the button in for it to restart. Sometimes it will restart while I am in the middle of something. The first few days I was getting errors like- File name:vmm(01)+000132ccError"0d"0028:c00142cc One said An exception OE has occurred at 0028:c0265211 in vxdvpowerd(07)+00000299 in vxd vkd(01)+00000640 The last three days the screen goes black and there is no error message, the computer will not respond and I have to restart is by holding in the button. When the security package started running after I downloaded it, it asked if I wanted to let certian programs connect to the internet. I wasn't sure on some of them but I said no to some and yes to some. I have no ideal where to start to fix the problem. Some times the computer will run for an hour with no problem and sometimes for only a few minutes. There is no certain program that causes the black out. Thanks for any help

Tine, sounds to me like your troubles are connected with the new security package. Think I'd try to restore to a prior time and get a list of things to allow/deny before trying again. HTH. Ed in Texas.
