We've been having unresolved blue screen errors for months now. The error is usually Error:0E:0028 followed by a number (we've had many different ones). Dell has even replaced our hard drive but the problem is unresolved. We've tested the RAM as well. Dell suggested checking whether it's a problem with the processor and told us to go into setup and CPU to change from normal mode to compatibilty mode, which we did. The result was that the computer would not start until the third try, finally successfully in safety mode but it was extremely slow. After about 20 min, I managed to get the computer to load windows as normal but once again it was extremely slow and couldn't really do anything. My question is whether this is normal for compatibilty mode or does the slowness indicate a problem with the processor as Dell thought it could be? I am now back in normal mode and the computer is as normal as it can be, despite all these annoying blue screens of death. Any info regarding processor problems or any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Claudia. You should check the other settings for the processor too. Make sure the L1 and L2 caches are enabled and that the correct speed is set.
-good luck
