I just put togeter a 350mhz/ 15 gig hard drive computer for my father. His drive is only 6 gig. Is it possible just hook both drives up and copy/paste the c: drive to the larger disk and format the smaller for extra storage?

Yes, it's really possible and pretty easy. You just need cloning one drive to another. For that I always use True Image, create clone drive of HDD (6Gb), put the second as slave, restore clone and make it master. And you'll get the perfect HDD with OS, apps and all data. Also I use this software to create an image of my HDD, which I can keep on CD. In case of crash my system I could immediately restore it. I've never seen such convenient backup-restore method as this one.
