Hello fella's well i'll start like this, I have 2 comps both have ethernet cards, i use one computer for cable internet, but i disconnet it to be able to play games between the two. Well i purchased the x over cable and plug them both up, and and gaming was a blast, then i connected the other comps back to my cable modem to get on the net, then the next day in unpluged it from the modem to play some more multiplay games, and nothing happends. i have no way of testing the connection between the two, so i use Pc anywhere to see if i have a connection between them. i make one the host, and the other the remote, nothing happends. i found i could ping the other through dos, well i tried that and had 100% lost packets. i Ping to test each modem with 127.0.0.1 and got a response, so i know both nic cards work. Hell i even hooked the other comp to the cable modem and it worked fine, So they both can get on the net, but they wont connect to each other for game play. they both have diffrent computer names, both have workgroup, can somone please tell me what i need to do to just get two comps to be able to play network games? i checked out other post here, but found none on help on connecting 2 comps for game play. BTW both comps have windows Me.. Thank You In advance..Dee
