Hi I am new here. And am having some major problems with my computer. I don't know if I put everything in place in the above, but I am using an hp pavilion mx50 computer with the WindowsME. I have been having trouble for awhile with my computer locking up some. I have the McAfee Security Suite installed on my computer. And just recently have been having alot more problems with it locking up. The computer will just freeze up in the middle of something and I have trouble getting it to unfreeze. I have also not been able to run a maintenance on it since installing the McAfee system. Could anyone tell me what I should do for this?

Get rid of McAfee, I had it before too and all it did was cause problems.

Is there another program that will work better than McAfee? It was locking up a bit before I got the McAfee. It is really bad when I have any of my messengers open. But has just gotten worse if I don't have the on. Does that make any sense?

hi friend,

try AVG Free edition. Absolutely stunning results with ZERO problems. I too use WinME & Mcfee really creates problems some times.

good luck.
