Hi
My systems resources keep falling to 19% & lower then when i try to start the Monitoring system it says 90% of ur system is being used & that i need to close some programs.
The only problem is normally i only ever have internet explorer open, with viruscan, I close all other non used programs ie printer centre, other stuff that starts in taskbar. To give me some mnore resources.
I have also closed a thing called backweb?? which i have no idea wat this is.
I have run the latest virus scan & it detects nothing?
I have also ran the disk cleanup & deleted some unwanted temporary files etc.
Now how do i increase the system resources. I am looking at replacing my motherboard from a 600 mhz to 3 ghz with 512 mb ram. Would this increase system resources.
I would greatly appreciate any info on system resources?! as not really up on this area as only a hobby is computers etc.
Thanks

Check out the System Resources FAQ - - there's nothing you can add to your system to increase resources, you'll have to shut things off and/or troubleshoot to determine the 'resource hog'
Getting rid of Backweb might be a good start
I'm not insensitive, I just don't care.

'backweb' is spyware shipped with some programs (Kodak camera software) and used by other software makers to just spy on you. There is not much difference that I can see.
If you have Kodak software installed, you can install just the drivers for the camera to work. If backweb is JUST CRAP, you can get rid of it with some spyware scans.Good free ones are........
Ad-Aware & Spybot, Search and Destroy.
These are FREE and watch out for an anti-spyware program with a similar name that is not free. Update both programs before you run them for best results.

Spyware scan your computer, also use the VX2 cleaner addon for larasoft ad-aware at:
http://www.lavasoftusa.com
Works for me everytime I have spyware.
Also go to download.com, search spyware and download a couple of cleaners.
