My computer keep freezing everytime i boot up.
I reformatted but it keep freezing too.
I had post a message last time and some of the helpful people here have given me some solution.
But it doesn't work. I tried scandisk and the hard drive doesn't seems to have any problem.Even in safe mode it will hang.
I thought maybe it's the video card problem that's why i change back to onboard video (After i remove the PCI card and drivers of course) But it still freezes.
I have two memory ram.. And I remove each of them to see whether it's them costing the problem. But it still freezes after I tried each of them.
Can someone help me???
If it's a hardware problem, can anyone tell me how to I solve or try to determine which of the parts is faultly?
Sorry but because I need people to help therefore i repost sorry

If the processor is over heating this could do it.
Check and see if the processor fan is working and it is not full of dust and fluff.

After checking the heat (fans)problem, can you think of any new program, update, hardware, or driver update that you installed within a week before this all started happening?
Have you done UPDATED anti-virus scans?
UPDATED spyware scans?Next go to Start, Run, type in msconfig
then OK. Now choose the start up tab and see if there are more than about 10 checked items in there?? If so make a list and then look up each item here:http://www.answersthatwork.com/Tasklist_pages/tasklist.htm
if you can. This will tell you which ones should be Un-checked.
I would suggest you look thru this site - "Running WinME well":
http://www.burzurq.com/index.htm
for excellent ME improvement directions.
Post back with updated info and answers to above questions.
You may need to go thru a step by step boot proceedure to track down the problem if software but come back with info first.

Go to the homepage link on this response and print it out.
Then, since you have formatted once already and this is not a challenge to you, do so again.
Install Windows and then do point 15 of the post, making sure you update the chipset drivers in particular.
Now, update Windows from the MS update site.
Now, do points 3,4,5,7,8,9,12, 13 (you can turn system restore back on later if you want it)
Now run scandisk and defrag
Next, begin to install the software for your peripherals such as printer, scanner etc. and check the PC's operation between each install to see if the problem begins. Also, reboot between each install.
Next, install your programs one by one, testing the operation of the PC between each installation. If you install MS Office, do point 10 of the post.
After installing a few programs, do scandisk and defrag again.
Leave the installation of anti-virus and firewall software until last, because it can interfere with Windows updates and program installations.
If the freezes begin after a program is installed, it is a software conflict with that program which is causing the problem and you could then seek advice about that particular program.
If the freezes keep happening right from the start and even after you have updated the chipset and video drivers, the problem is possibly a motherboard fault and the motherboard may need to be replaced.
This probably going to take you a couple of days but it is worth using this step by step method.
Good luck!
