Comment: Everytime I play an avi, mpeg file, after like 5 seconds, my computer freezes, and I can only un-freeze it by ctrl-alt-del and close the program I'm using to play it. Doesn't matter what program, realone, WMP, quicktime, all freezes. (BY the way, it's not porno like many of you may be thinking). I uninstalled Divx 5.02 and installed Nimo 5.0 build 7, still dosen't help. Thanks in advance

Reply: Even if it was porn, we're all adults here right? LOL Anyway, seen this problem before. If you are using Windows Media Player go to Windows Update and make sure you have latest Version.
Sounds like if you're halfway through the file and it freezes, the file may be corrupt, so get another copy from elsewhere or redownload it, if it's at the end of the file clip, it might be that Media Player is not freeing up the memory taken by the file while playing. Hope this helps...
