Hi,
The file association for compressed folders has changed to microsoft word, and i cant seem to change it back. I have been to control panel and tried unchecking compressed folders and restarting the system etc, but that did not work, they remained as word files. I have also tried using system restore but somehow this has messed up and it wont let me create or go back to previous restore points. Could someone please help me out here? How do I change the file association back to zip files???
Thanks in advance!!

If you have a ZIP program installed open the program and look for options or configuration from the tool bar menu. Go into that and look for file associations. There you can check the files you want to select your ZIP program to be associated with. Or you can go to your control panel and click on folder options and then choose file types. Look for your .zip extension and select change and choose the program you want to open the file or browse for it. Hope this helps you!
