Comment: Should one compact 'all files' in outlook express or just in certain circumstances? There doesn't seem to be an option to reverse the compact if needed tho'.

Reply: (edit)I compact mine from time to time and have never run into problems. Having said that I've never noticed any change in free HD afterwards either. I have heard that it is best to compact manually rather than let it do so in the background automatically. It apparently uses rather a lot of resources. DerekW
