I enabled my 2nd com port on my computer to run a 2nd serial device. When the driver installed, it came up COM port 5. I need it to be COM4 or COM3. Any ideas how to change it??? Have uninstalled & reinstalled in the device manager to no avail. Thanks in advance

In your bios, how are the com ports defined? I believe comm 5 would share and IRQ with comm 1. Maybe if comm 3 & 4 are not activated in the bios, your system reuses comm 1 as comm 5. Only a guess.

Thanks ERIC! Had the COM port set to auto. Went to Enable & saw the I/O setting was the same as COM1. Looked up the COM I/O setting for COM3, selected it & BINGO! I appreciate it. Happy Holidays
