This is probably a really stupid question, but where is com 3 on a Vista 64 bit computer? I am trying to load a usb to serial adapter and it says it's on com 9, but when I use my software to try to connect to it, it only lists com 3, and I can't find it anywhere!

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Depending on whatever the software is, it may not be able to configure at com 9.
