anita,

xxYou need to tell us the make and model of your video card. That way we can help you find the drivers for it. Also, we'll help you through installing the new driver.(give you a written description of what to do) First we need to know what it is.(video card) OK

She may also need to reinstall the manufacturer drivers for the monitor...

The Video Adapter driver should be compatible with the driver for the Monitor.

You can open the Display Properties Dialogue Box, click on Settings Tab, then Select the one that says "Monitor".

Click on the "Change" button... make sure u have at hand the driver's disk for the model of your monitor.

You can select to search for it automatically or select it manually if you are familiarized with browsing for files contained in a dierctory.

Using automatic option will allow the Wizard to detect automatically the monitor type or brand and then will seek for the appropriate drivers if you have your disk placed wether it be on a cdrom or a floppy.

Monitor drivers are stored by default in C:\WINDOWS\INF\

Monitor.Inf is the file containing the driver's specs in that directory. When you are done with this proceed to install your video adapter's drivers.

NOTE: Make sure to remove first the old installations and do the process back from the beginning.

Hope this bring some light.
