TOD,
I ran accros that the other day in a forum and it means that when you click it , it removes any invalid entries of things like uninstalled programes and duplicate entries.
I clicked on and it refreshed the menu and cleaned them up nice, good result.Give it a go workes well.

The funny thing is that sometimes it doesn't remove the duplicates. Often times I have to go into the registry and remove them manually.
