Am I limited to use Cinemaster DVD Player in order to enable S/PDIF or using the DVD player that comes with my ATI Rage Fury Pro card will also enable the S/PDIF feature?

I am also having problems with my Cinemaster DVD. When I try to watch a movie it keeps locking up. When I was running 98 SE I had no problem. If you find out something let me know I will do like wise for you. I am running Cinemaster 98.
