ok, it's not life threatening but some people, like me, hate the original millenium startup logo and want to change it.
Changing 'logo.sys' does not work with Me.
I have found the original image in C:windows/options/install/win_19/sulogo.sys BUT HOW THE HECK DO YOU CHANGE IT? Anyone with the answer please email me at: mobilemayhem@netscapeonline.co.uk
Thanks

Just Copy The New Logo.sys To C:\
That Works For ME (the same way as in win98)
Thats all

Just change the name of logos.sys to logos.bmp, and edit it in any graphics program. Even Windows paint will work. Remember to stick to 16 colors, as that is all that is displayed during startup. When finished, rename to logos.sys and copy into C:\.

Take any image you like and make it your startup splash with Logo Utility . Once you import the image of choice you can then ad an animated loading bar to the bottom of the screen and adjust its color to match the image. Once your done creating it you can install it automatically with the click of a button. Good Luck.

Heres a link to a site that has some, kinda cool animated start up splash's already made and available for download. Just place them in C:make sure they are named "logo.sys". Windows will use this rather than the ME splash and if you ever want to go back just delete the "logo.sys" file you have created and moved to the C:

Start-up screen needs to be a bitmap using 256 colours with a size of 320x400

Almost forgot, The "logo Utility" will resize any image to 320X400 automatically.
