Hello everyone, a quick question, ive been downloading audio clips from a website, most of them work fine, as they're Winamp Media Files. However, when the download is finished, they are first of all saved as an FDF File, then they change to a Winamp Media File in a few seconds after that, but sometimes they dont change back, they stay FDF, meaning im unable to put them onto a CD etc. Im not sure what FDF files are, and Im wondering if its possible to manually change them to Winamp Media Files, any help would be much appreciated, as Im a computer newbie. Thanks in advance.

lewis,
FDF files are not audio files they are "Form Data Format" files which are commonly used within Adobe Acrobat. It's also possible that wherever you're getting your audio files have created their own extension for files being downloaded. In either case I'm guessing that your audio files are being distributed through a download process which creates a temporary file with the "fdf" extension but the actual audio file is not renamed until the transmission is 100% completed. Therefor the files which stay as "fdf" did not download completely. Try downloading the files in question over again and i'll be they make the conversion the next time or else they may be corrupted on the senders side. Just a guess but i do not that "fdf" is not a recognized audio file format.
ciao,
wired
