Comment: Can anyone suggest a solution? My CD-ROM stopped working and would not open. It has been de-assigned from the drive list but still appears in the system list with error message 10, drive not working. I have de-assigned it and re-booted. I have re-loaded the drivers. There is a 'ticking' sound coming from the drive! No kidding!
Help please!
