CD/CDRW Rom Drives

When I insert a CD disk in either my CD Drive or my CDRW Drive it always reads as a Audio disk even if it is a Data disk and Windows Media window comes up. I've tried all the remedies quoted in the CD Rom forum but none of them help. Any solution would be much appreciated. Thanks!

hello when you put a data cd in hold down shift key got my comouter right click n cd drive chose explore can you acess data?

Hi wawadave Did what you said then into explorer clicked on 'E'drive which showed 'Audio disk inserted' then Windows Media Player comes up and a box which says 'This disk is not recognised as an Audio disk'...course not cos its a data disk...dummy computer!!! Thank for your effort mate!....
