Subject: CD ROM BOOT RECORD?!?!? HELP
Comment:

When I boot my computer up it stays on the black screen with all the system info for a long time. It says Searching for CD-Rom Boot Record...it takes forever and then my computer finally loads. How do I stop the computer from searching for a CD-Rom Boot Record...???

Thanks

Go into your BIOS setup program and set your hard disk as the first boot drive instead of the CD-ROM. It shouldn't take that long to check the CD though, sounds like something is messed up. Does the CD-ROM drive work ok once you are in Windows?
