For some reason my CD-ROM won't recognize that a CD is loaded. Everytime I try to run a Cd it prompts me to load the CD!

Any suggestions?

Blow out the CD drive with air incase dust has blocked the optical read heads. Other wise it is broken, so replace the drive.

Yeah I guess i'll try and clean it or replace it.

I should mention that i just reformatted and reinstalled WIN ME on my computer...

Could that have something to do with it.

I checked the device manager and there were no exclamation points so hopefully it's just dusty or something...

thanks

It works!

I figured out how to fix this and all I had to do was go to the device manager, click on the cd drive, then double click on the drive type. There was a tab to update driver. I clicked on it and now it works fine!

Geez..I feel stupid now.

I figured I'd post how I fixed it though in case anyone else has a similar issue...

Thanks guys for the suggestions.
