Specs: me, 128

In My Computer the CD drive shows up as Local Disk D:, if I put a disk in it the properties shows 648 of free space, but the disk has data on it. In Windows Explorer nothing shows up on the disk.

I tried removing it from the device manager (it listed itself as an LG 52X CD Drive) reboot, the BIOS screen shows it a the LG on bootup, but it comes up as Local Drive D: again. I tried a different CD Drive and get the same.
Also in the device manager the Standerd Floppy Disk Controler has a yellow ! how do I find a better driver for this.

Boot into safe mode & go to device manager...run down the entire list one item at a time & look for duplicate entries (these duplicates do not appear under normal mode). For example...if your floppy drive is listed twice, remove BOTH entries...if it's listed 3 times, remove all 3...reboot & let Windows sort it out...
