i recently tryed to upgrade my os from ME (which came with my pc) to windows XP. I tryed upgrading and also clean installs and found that i couldnt get it to upgrade. On the setup screen after the innitial reboot, the screen turns blue and the files are loaded from the cd. Once this is done the pc just hangs there when it says loading windows. I have tryed disconnecting usbs and any hardware i dont need. i also tryed dissabling the onboard sound on the motherboard. If anyone knows how to solve this, could you please reply

Check the Microsoft HCL to see if all your devices and system components are listed. Funnily enough I had similar problems when attempting to upgrade from ME to XP. But thankfully I managed to get 2K running on my PC which I highly reccomend you try.

Hope this helps! lol! Jordan

Other than the compatibility isssues pre-upgrade, I'd ask if both your OSs are not cracked?
