Reply: (edit)Is your firewall configured to block cookies? If so this would be the problem. What firewall are you using? Also your security setting in IE may be set too high, this will also block cookies. You must accept certain cookies in order to sign in to certain sites.

Reply: (edit)What type of firewall is it ? software or hardware, if its software what company makes it. It could be a cookie issue, it could also be a blocked port issue. You need to be a bit clearer when posting. ____________________________________ http://www.anti-trojan.org

Reply: (edit)I use Kerio Personal Firewall v2.1.5, is the firewall not listed in your start menu>programs? If it is a software firewall it should be. You can lower your security settings in IE through start>settings>control panel>Internet Options>Privacy tab, move the slider to a lower position, click apply and okay. Do this with IE closed.

Reply: (edit)Well, not really. Medium might have blocked some third party cookies, did you set it down to low? Can you now sign in to the troublesome sites?

Reply: (edit)You should be able to access MSN and Hotmail with default cookie and security settings. Most Firewall programs will install a small icon at bottom right tray on Windows desktop. Move your mouse pointer over the icons and the name may showup. Right click and you should get three options like Allow All/Block All / Custom Setting or something similar in meaning. If you do see them then choose Allow all and see if you are able to access the sites. Now I notice your os is XP which I think has a built in firewall. Go thru the help file in Start/Help to see how to change the settings. I use Sygate personal firewall [free to download] and so far no problems.
